Code for America’s Benefits Enrollment Field Guide is a research-backed resource funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. It is designed to help assess the state of safety net benefits access and highlight best practices and real examples of how governments can use human-centered design principles to make online benefits processes simpler, faster, and more equitable.
The Benefits Enrollment Field Guide earned media placements in StateScoop, StateTech, GovTech, and APHSA’s Policy & Practice Magazine. The website was also a 2024 Nonprofits Communications Award Finalist from PR Daily.
My Contribution
While the Field Guide was certainly a team effort, I lead the marketing strategy and execution for this site and its promotion. This included:
- Partnering with data and research teams to translate complex findings into clear, compelling narratives.
- Drafting website language and narrative structure.
- Collaborating with web, design, and subject matter experts to bring the final product to life.
- Creating a promotional campaign across social media and email to drive engagement and visibility.
